Requirements: A web server (Apache 2), Firefox (preferably 2.0), and FoxyProxy, either an account on iFriends or both a flash decompiler and macromedia flash mx.
Download and install Apache 2 from apache.org.

Download and install FoxyProxy. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2464/
Once Firefox has restarted, double click on the FoxyProxy logo in the Firefox tray and then click "Add New Proxy". Make sure "Enabled" is checked, and give it the name "iFriends", and then click the "Proxy Details" tab, and for "HTTP Proxy", put "127.0.0.1" (without the quotes), and for the port put "80" (again, without the quotes) and then click the Patterns tab, click "Add New Pattern", again, make sure "Enabled" is checked, for pattern name, put "iFriends", and for pattern put "http?://flash?\.ifriends\.net/.*\.swf.*" (without quotes), and make sure that both "Whitelist" and "Regular Expression" are selected. Click "OK" on each window until all the FoxyProxy windows are gone.
Right click on the FoxyProxy icon and select "Completely disable FoxyProxy". We need FoxyProxy to be off for the next step.
If you have an iFriends account, look for a chathost utilizing EasyCam who has a "Free to Private" session going, and enter that session, once inside, right click the page and goto "View Page Info", and then select the "Media" tab, you want to look for a file called "LSChatView.swf", once you see it in the list, click it, and then click "Save As...", and save it somewhere you can find it later...
If you don't have an iFriends account, and do not wish to get one, find a chathost utilizing EasyCam, and enter their Guest Chatroom, follow the steps above, except look for a file named "LSChatViewG.swf" instead... this is the flash file for guest chats. Once you've downloaded this file, you'll need to use a Flash decompiler to decompile this file, and then delete the privacy screen and recompile it.
Once you have your "LSChatView.swf", rename it to "LSChatViewG.swf" and place it inside your Apache document root. This is usually "C:\program file\apache\htdocs", but you can find out for sure by reading your apache configuration file. If you've done everything correctly, you should now be able to enter any EasyCam chatroom in "Guest Chat" without a privacy screen to block anything.

I don't know how the revised version of V2, and demise of the old iFriends (V1) affects the live video exploits.
However, I can confirm that it is still possible to get to pre-recorded video and still pictures in the same way as before.
With one possible caveat...
Since V2 came into existence, host names can be more flexible than before (longer than 14 characters, possibly more non-alphanumerics allowed) but to preserve compatibility since V1 and V2 shared the databases, an abbreviated V1 compatible version of the host name was also stored.
While a V2 version of the host name will be displayed in the fanclubs, database retrieval uses the V1 style name throughout. So if you try using the old methods to get fanclub pictures/videos and it doesn't work, check the fanclub page source to find the host's 'old style' name (it'll be on the URL for any thumbnail image) and use that instead.
Since there is no V1 to be compatible with any more, I don't know if this will continue.
Finally, an apology for anyone using my scanners - I just noticed a bug in the replay scanner - it attempts to load the replay from SesArchive (which is where the normal videos are) when it should be loading it from ReplayLibrary - (oops)

To everyone wanting the scanners for free, I'd say two things.
Firstly, all the information required regarding how to construct a URL from the host name, date and time and archive data type is already available either in this or strix's blog. Also, if you have a member account for iFriends, with 'View page source' on your browser, it's trivial to decode the URLs.
Secondly, although I am a software engineer, before I wrote those scanner scripts, I'd done very little Javascript, so it was pretty much a learning experience for me - it doesn't take much to sit down with a Javascript text book or some tutorial websites to figure out how to do it!
For me, writing the scripts was more a fun puzzle than anything else, and it was just an interesting exercise in seeing how iFriends worked - trying to stay true to the real hacker ethos!
To anyone who wants the scripts just to look at pictures and videos of naked girls, there's enough free online these days without having to go to the trouble. If you want them particularly to look at naked girls from iFriends, try writing them yourself - it'll be good for you!
If you've made an honest attempt and want a bit of help, mail me (my address is buried somewhere in strix's blog), but I'll be less inclined to give things away if you just want everything handed to you on a plate.

A little info for the libraries...
video urls are constructed as follows:
avidarchive.ifriends.net/YYMM/library/model/YY/MM/DD/hhmm.ext
where:
YY = year
MM = month
DD = day
hh = hour
mm = minute
library is either SesArchive, vidarchive or ReplayLibrary depending on whether the video is Elite Private Moments, normal video library or a replay.
model is the model name (old style <14 character name)
ext is the file extension - either flv for Easycam recordings or asf for windows media player recordings.
Thumbnails for each of these follow the format:
avidarchives.ifriends.net/YY/MM/library/model/YY/MM/DD/hhmm4_12.jpg
Still images in the libraries have the following format for both normal still images and elite private moments stills.

Exactly, so for example, if the time that an image was taken was 1547, the filename would be BFEH.jpg
(remember this is only for Elite Private Moments still images, all other images and videos use numerical filenames).

If you mean using a spreadsheet to generate a list of URLs covering all possible images in a block of time...
I'd be slightly wary of blasting iFriends with a huge number of simultaneous file requests, most of which are likely to fail.
It might be detected as a DoS attack and your IP address blocked.
I don't know if it was coincidence, but I tried writing some Javascript to do the same thing once. It worked for a little while and then my connection to iFriends mysteriously disappeared for some time (on the other hand, iFriends' servers can be a bit flaky sometimes so I may just have hit some down-time!)
hey...thanks for all the info. i have a mac and was able to install the original script a couple of years ago: greasemonkey. this summer, v1 disappeared in favor of v2 and that script has stopped working, even for accessing personal saved videos. has anyone written an update or a new script that can be installed on a mac to avoid having to change url's for each viewing? that original script was terrific.

If you have a version of the greasemonkey script I would have thought it would be fairly trivial to look at the source for the iFriends V2 pages and substitute in the new URL patterns into the old Greasemonkey script.
For example, on the archive explorer page, the overlay is now:

Note: iFriends have added a lot more functionality in these pages with popups, extra options under the pictures, etc., and the labels 'Members only' and 'Protective wrapper' which I believe may have once been part of the graphic, and hence easily substituted by the greasemonkey script, are now layered text on the graphic, so while it may be possible to substitute away the wrapper, it may be less easy to remove the text with a greasemonkey script upgrade.
But as there's nobody left that I know on iFriends, I don't have the inclination to reverse-engineer the whole site to find all the overlays.

Unless their servers are on the fritz, they have changed the location of the archive material I think as none of the old codes pull up videos or pictures anymore. Definitely a bit of a bummer.

Are you able to access elite videos? The picture scanner works fine still, but the elite scanner is not pulling up any videos for like the past week. I went back and ran through a couple of hosts date/times that I know in the past videos popped up, and now it just passes by times when videos should be popping up.
Can you try running it and see if it is just me or if maybe the elite videos have moved locations.
hack doesnt work since today, totally new swf in use ( ecv_new.swf ) and simpe rename doesnt help.

I think you've made a mistake somewhere with the path structure.
Elite moments have always been saved in SesArchive, not VidArchive.
Also, try putting a '/' before the first year and month numbers - i.e. 10/08 rather than 1008.
Streamate.com use to have it if you enter when a girl was in a pvt and you leave the pvt before 30 seconds..you would not get charged. This was good for awhile after they caught on and booted people. Does this still work on that site? Dam you could go in there and keep loging off and on and get a free show. The models didnt even mind it.

Just some info about live flash player. The ecv_new.swf is protected by Secure AS2 protection. SWF Quicker crashes when trying modify it. There is a promising piece of software called SWF Reader http://swf-reader.com that can in its beta version partially unprotect AS2. You may support the author a little by buying the software. It is not much, like 10 euros.

Thought I'd let others know that IF has been doing a better job of blocking IPs lately. I've had mine blocked leaving me unable to view any videos.
So, I switched IPs and could see them.
Ideas worth trying to crack live video:
1. Make a loader in Flex for ecv_new.swf
using loadBytes(). When allComplete event is trigered save loader contentLoaderInfo.bytes to disc with FileReference.save().
2. Use a free tool called SwfModify to remove some annoying pictures from the swf.Hint: make the background black when browsing graphics! ;)
This app doesnt choke on obfuscated action script like most of the serious decompilers.

Clearly they did not do a very good job of stopping it which is why they have resorted to blocking IPs and changing the swf location. It's very similar to the previous hack. I think it's unlikely anybody who has it working will post the new script here as it only raises the likelyhood of it being blocked, but it can be done

Are the recordings stopped? Are private shows saved somewhere else? Are the cam2cam shows recorded?
In the old days elite private moment videos used to last up to 1/2 hour.
However, at some point it seems iFriends upped the data-rate for shows a bit and capped them at 20 minutes, presumeably to save space on their servers.
Sometimes a private show may consist of more than one video clip - I think either the member or host has to initiate a new clip recording.

Yeah theres nothing there, probably a recorded video file that was corrupted. If you look long enough you'll find plenty of them.

I found a way to remove the wrapper in the fanclub of the ifriendsV2 protection but we will need an automated process to remove all of the wrappers, because my method is manually done to one by one.
First find your idol fanclub.
Then get your firefox ready equiped with Firebug/Adblock plus addons.
Start by blocking this CSS script on ABP:

Then use Firebug now, use the mouse thingy and click on a wrapped picture, then look for div style with: position: relative; width: 80px; height: 60px; text-align: left; - and delete that line then you got the picture.
PS: It should be postion: relative to work, and the width and height might be different.
So anyway to get this process automated ?

While all this bickering is riveting.., I am wondering....is there currently a working way to remove the wrapper from archived pictures and videos. I am not so much interested in watching live cam shows etc.. I used to use the Grease Monkey script for the old site and it worked great(for years).It no longer seems to do the trick unfortunately for v2 though. :(

Just a FYI...
as of today, iFriends' IFCam has been discontinued, so for the moment everyone is switched to EasyCam.
This should mean that future entries in Elite private moments archives will only be video clips, rather than possibly being still images (apart from the thumbnails, of course).
In due course, iFriends will be bring out HD video, so that'll be something new to get your teeth into ;)

To above user that had their I.S.P cut them off for hacking: get some insurance to something like this happening. A decent activist ALWAYS has a fall back plan, to even such a big tits up. Step one: get another provider. Step two: if it effects personal identity, either get a lawyer or assume a new straw man. Both are incredibly difficult and taxing processes, so maybe a short term solution would be to either take some time off, to avoid being under any radar, or move to another medium, if it really can't be resisted. And most importantly: insure that these mistakes either won't be repeated, or have a counter when they do. If not, it's simply a matter of time before probability drops to 0, in not being caught again.

I just talked to a lawyer friend of mine and he said no way a person can get sued for watching free video rooms at some sex site. the judge would throw out the case in a matter of minutes. wonder if a model posted that.

That would be true if you were actually infiltrating the site, which you are not with this "hack". Redirecting to a file that is on your computer is not an infiltration of the site. Ifriends is broadcasting a signal that you are simply decoding by simple means. If they want to protect the signal they can do so.
So..is there any current working 'hack' or script or...whatever...to remove the non-member wrappers from archived pics/vids, or is this just a place for people to act all 1337 and not actually share information? Can someone at least point me in the right direction of where to look for any info on this? What is currently working if anything? I miss the easy days of the Greasemonkey script...Now I am out the loop it seems.

everything you need to know/do is in this blog. get swfmodify, take out some unwanted frames save and put in your apache directory, fix up foxyproxy pattern and boom.

Sad to say, iFriends have been recoding the video archives.
Everything from Jan 2010 onwards is described as MP4, while previous videos are listed as 'Easycam'.
Older ones (2009 or earlier) are currently still in their original places, but the newer ones are somewhere different. Haven't worked out where!
It's probably only a matter of time before they work backwards through their archives, recoding the rest.

Got it sorted, thanks for all the help on here guys.
One question, when I delete the priv screen graphics from the swf, when I come to view a cam, the size of the cam is reduced quite a bit.
I have a feeling this is because there's missing graphic files when it's load and its causing the cam to distort, I've tried replacing them with transparent files but swfmodify didn't seem to like it, any ideas?

Picture archives are still where they used to be.
Last time I looked, video archives Jan 2010 and later had moved. Pre-Jan 2010 were still in their original places.
My guess is they are re-coding the video archives and eventually they will all move.

OK noobletts im going to point out the OMFG THATS AMAZING 'hack' to get the videos, in firefox right click on the page, click view page info, goto media tab, browse till you find the thumbnail of the video you want (will look something like http://video.ifriends.net/streamstor/1102/VidArchive/TEACHERISCOOL/11/02/27/18494_12.jpg) drop the _12 to get that image, to get the video drop x_12 x being the number before the underscore replace the .jpg with either .flv or .mp4

Has anyone tried addapting the old elite live moments video scanner to include the new video link location?
The scanner was the best because it would show videos that were never posted to the fanclub.
I don't see why it wouldn't still work with an updated address to the video links when scanning, but it is out of my league to know how to modify it. Someone should give it a try and see if it is doable.

Yes, I can confirm that by substituting the new path into the scanner, it does work for scanning the new format iFriends.
If you have the original scanners, updating them is dead easy.
Simply load them into a text editor (e.g. notepad), and find the lines that include the string:
http://avidarchives.ifriends.net/
replace this string with
http://video.ifriends.net/streamstor/
Now find any references to 'flv' and change them to 'mp4'
There is one more change you need to make. In the elite scanner there is a block that starts 'if ( ( type == "F" ) || ( type=="A" ) )'
there is a line...
filename = "http://avidarchives....' etc. that you've just changed with the above instructions, so it is now "http://video.ifriends.net/streamstor/"
The line continues + yr + "/" + mn + ....
The slash is not needed now, so edit this to + yr + mn + ....
And that's all the changes you need to make.
Save it with a new filename, in case you cocked up the edits the first time, and because I've not checked whether you still need the old scanner for older videos (a while ago, pre-2010 still used the old format).
This seems to work for elite moments. I've not tried updating the video archive and replay library scanners yet, but I think the changes should be almost identical.

If you want to see replays without using an account on ifriends:
Start Firefox.
Go to the model on ifriends you prefer.
Go to the replays of that model. When you see that the replay has started, and you have a image infront of it saying "Enjoy this future and much more! ...", you are at the correct place.
Right-click the frame and select "View page info". Go to "Media Tab" and find the correct thumbnail of the replay. Copy the entire url (ex: http://video.ifriends.net/streamstor/1105/ReplayLibrary/KARMEN__ELECTRA/11/05/29/08204_12.jpg)
Paste that url into a new tab and remove the last "4_12.jpg" and change it to this entire url: http://video.ifriends.net/streamstor/1105/ReplayLibrary/KARMEN__ELECTRA/11/05/29/0820.mp4. And click Enter!
Done!

There was a script I picked up from theunfairness.tripod.com, which zipped through the archive files looking for pictures. Now, the script runs so slowly, maybe one url (which is equal to one minute of a day) per second.
But, if I build a list of all one day's urls in a spreadsheet, I can get those urls to load in a few seconds.
I'd prefer the script b/c it can just run in the background while I do other stuff - but how can I get it to run faster? Or - how do I open it so I can edit the script?
If you know about scripts, I'd love to chat...
The scripts worked in the following way...
once you pressed the button to start it running, it would compose the url from the time, date, hostname, etc. and attempt to load an image from that url.
If it succeeded, it stopped and left you with the image.
If loading the image reported an error, it would increment (or decrement) the time and try again.
One thing I never worked out (maybe someone with better knowledge of internet protocols can tell me) was that the scripts worked fine if run from a local machine, but did not work if run directly from a website.
To be honest the script was never really fast to begin with. If it has suddenly slowed down a lot, it could be that iFriends have changed their servers so that reporting an unavailable image takes longer.
If you want to edit the script, you should be able to load it into Notepad.
I tried the 'spreadsheet' method once - well, something similar - I wrote some Javascript that generated a page with a whole load of images and links in a table. When I tried it, it worked for a few minutes, then it seemed like I lost iFriends for a while on that IP address.
I am not sure if it was coincidence, but it could be that blasting iFriends with a whole load of requests for files, most of which won't exist, simultaneously could be picked up by the servers as suspiciously like a DoS attack, and get the requesting IP address blocked.

I would have thought that might actually be more difficult in some ways.
Room chat has two payment models - charged with video, and free with the privacy screen. As I understand it, the version with privacy screen transmits the full video, but overlays a screen ontop, and the hack simply modifies the 'guest' code to remove the screen, so from the other end it still looks like it's transmitting to the 'free' mode client.
With cam spy, there is no free model, so nothing to pretend to iFriends that it is sending to a free client.

Also, I was able to create a great scanner that scans 20 hours (I took out 6-10 am), in under a minute by making a webpage and using firefox linky script.
It's really fast, as only the images open in the new tab.
